Elevating Urban Aesthetics and Safety through Electrical Upgrades

In the current age of rapid technological advancement and ongoing urban growth, enhancing and modernizing electrical systems to comply with both safety and design standards is crucial. The initiative called “Modernization and Shift of Urban Lighting Hub 4” spearheaded by QuangAnhcons at 600 Dien Bien Phu, Ward 22, Binh Thanh District in Ho Chi Minh City, marks a significant step towards the goal of achieving sustainable urban progress.

This endeavor, by transitioning the 22kv electrical networks from overhead to underground, not only elevates the visual appeal of the area but also boosts safety, reduces the risks associated with adverse weather conditions, and improves the dependability of the electricity supply. An important aspect of this initiative is the movement of the 400KVA power substation and the rejuvenation of communal areas, fostering a more hygienic and secure environment for residents. The employment of cutting-edge technology coupled with efficient project management by QuangAnhcons has enabled the efficient utilization of space and furthered the objectives of urban green development.

In this project to upgrade electrical infrastructure, QuangAnhcons has adopted sophisticated engineering practices, including the operation of a 600KVA generator for eight hours straight to ensure a continuous power supply to the community, along with the meticulous removal and installation of transformers, laying of underground cables, and completion of supplementary structures, all the while prioritizing safety and effectiveness. The project is structured into four stages, each targeting specific engineering aspects to meet objectives related to safety, performance, and aesthetics.

Stage 1: Setup and Provisional Energy Supply

– The team, known as the Phase Cutting Group (PCGĐ), will disconnect the medium voltage network at both the RMU cabinet near Nguyen Huu Canh Bridge and the RMU cabinet at 550 Dien Bien Phu, thereby isolating the medium voltage line leading to the XLDD4 station.
– Four low voltage cables will be installed and connected to the generator to power the XLDD4 station (400KVA). In parallel, the Van Thanh tourist spot and other locations will receive power via generators.
– The project owner will independently decide on using generators for electricity provision at the Vietnamshop station and the CC Dawon Hoan Cau station.

Stage 2: Equipment Installation and Relocation

– Installation of two 3M240mm2 24kV splice boxes and the routing of cables from the XLDD4 station pole to the Nr Bảy Mẫu pole, thereafter to the 6-compartment RMU cabinet.
– Laying of 3M50mm2 24kV electrical cables for the Vietnamshop station into the 6-compartment RMU cabinet.

– Employing a crane to move the 400KVA transformer from its original location to a new steel pole station and finishing the setup of the low voltage output cable CV 300mm2 – 0.6/1kV.
– Establishing the connection of outdoor heat-shrinkable cable ends 24kV 3Cx50mm2 to the 400KVA transformer.
– Restoration of power through 4 underground medium voltage CU/XLPE/DSTA/PVC 3Cx240mm2 – 24kV cables.

Stage 3: Examination and Verification

– Execution of PD tests for medium and low voltage cables, verification of rotation direction, and phase alignment.
– Activation of the medium voltage circuits at the RMU cabinets at Nguyen Huu Canh Bridge and at RMU 550 Dien Bien Phu to energize the 400KVA steel pole transformer station.

Stage 4: Finalization and Approval

– Power supply from the generator to the XLDD4 station (400KVA) will be disconnected, leading to a temporary power outage lasting approximately 2 hours.
– Installation of additional 3M95 + M50 0.6/1KV splice boxes at four locations.
– Installation and final connection of all seven low voltage underground cables.
– Finalizing the relocation and connection of the XLDD4 station, followed by project energization and approval.

Through this significant project, QuangAnhcons has not only demonstrated its expertise and reliability in the renovation and construction of medium and low voltage electrical networks but has also played a vital role in enhancing the living standards of the community. The successful completion of this project underscores QuangAnhcons’s dedication to investing in durable infrastructure, aimed at fostering a greener and more refined future for cityscapes.
