Start with a clearer scope

Before you request electrical quotations

QuangAnhcons supports project teams that need local input in Vietnam before issuing an electrical RFQ. We review available information, record agreed site observations and prepare quantities with their sources and unresolved questions.

01 / EXISTING SITE

Separate existing assets from new works

Record accessible installations and interfaces that affect the electrical package.

02 / DOCUMENT GAPS

Bring scattered inputs together

Identify differences between SLDs, layouts and equipment information before bidders make assumptions.

03 / QUANTITY BASIS

Make the BOQ traceable

Connect quantities to drawing revisions and distinguish measured items from provisional allowances.

The starting package

A practical set of files for your RFQ review

One agreed site and one defined electrical scope, with a draft submission and one consolidated update.

01

Input register

Drawings and source information, with revisions and approval status where provided.

02

Site observation report

Accessible installations and agreed interfaces; labelled photographs where permission is available.

03

Scope boundary matrix

Inclusions, exclusions and interfaces requiring another party’s decision.

04

Excel BOQ

Descriptions, units and quantities, with measurement sources, assumptions and unresolved items.

05

RFI list

Questions to resolve before requesting comparable quotations from bidders.

06

Consolidated update

One agreed revision following your team’s combined comments within the contracted scope.

The BOQ reflects the agreed information basis. An assumed quantity or unapproved drawing remains qualified until the responsible party resolves it.

Agree the boundaries first

What the assignment covers

Within the starting package

  • Review of the agreed documents and revisions.
  • Visual observations in authorised, accessible areas.
  • Quantity preparation and recording of assumptions.
  • Scope interfaces, RFIs and agreed file handover.

Outside the starting package

  • Design certification or statutory cost appraisal.
  • Independent construction supervision and accredited testing.
  • Intrusive checks, switching operations or utility approvals.
  • Construction, purchase commitments or an energisation date.

Access to energised equipment, restricted areas and shutdown activities requires separate arrangements. Travel and specialist needs are reviewed for each enquiry.

From enquiry to handover

A defined route through the assignment

  1. Share your inputsLocation, electrical scope, available drawings and target RFQ date.
  2. Confirm boundariesInformation gaps, site access, safety arrangements and decision owners.
  3. Agree the proposalDeliverables, programme, fee and review process before mobilisation.
  4. Review and recordDocument review, site observations and quantity preparation with an RFI record.
  5. Review and hand overDraft, one consolidated update and final files with remaining qualifications.

A practical view of electrical work on site

Electrical packages involve existing equipment, site access and interfaces between several parties. These are useful points to discuss when defining the information needed for a survey and BOQ assignment.

The photograph and company video show electrical construction work. For your enquiry, we agree the survey areas, document inputs and required outputs before work begins.

Questions from project teams

Scope decisions are easier when assumptions are raised at the start.

Can you start with incomplete drawings?

We can review the available information first. The proposal will identify what can be measured, what remains provisional and which decisions require your designer or owner.

Does the survey include electrical testing?

Not by default. Testing requires a separately agreed method, access arrangements, specialist scope and acceptance requirements.

Can we issue the BOQ directly to bidders?

Your authorised team should confirm the design, specifications and tender boundaries first. The handover records the BOQ’s information basis and open items.

Will you select suppliers or place orders?

Supplier selection and purchase commitments remain with you. Quotation comparison and vendor follow-up can be scoped separately.

Can this lead to a construction assignment?

A construction enquiry is assessed separately against the approved design, BOQ, site conditions and resources. Any role in preparing or comparing quotations must be disclosed before a related construction bid.

How should we share project documents?

Start with a project description and list of available documents. We can agree confidentiality requirements and a suitable sharing channel before detailed or sensitive files are exchanged.
